Liorah David Suicide, West Babylon New York, Death-Obituary: A Candlelight Gathering Will Be Held In Your Honor Tomorrow, Sweet Lily

My heart hurts making this post.

On Monday, June 1st, the world lost a soul that only comes along once in a lifetime—a spirit so bright and unique that words can never fully capture who she was. I lost a friend, and West Babylon lost a student, Liorah David, a young woman remembered for her sweetness, kindness, and the light she brought into every space she entered.

Liorah was one of the sweetest young women I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Her presence left a lasting impression on everyone around her, and her energy carried a warmth that made people feel welcomed, seen, and appreciated. She had a passion for life, for dance, and for the moments that made people feel alive.

The pain of this loss is overwhelming. At first, it brought anger and confusion—anger that no one could help, and sorrow for the future moments that will never come. She was excited about life, about upcoming events, about dancing, laughter, and everything still ahead of her. That makes the loss even harder to accept.

But in time, one thought brings comfort: that she is at peace. Many choose to remember her with love and light, imagining her in a place where she is free, joyful, and surrounded by beauty. Though she is no longer here, her memory remains deeply alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

To Liorah—“Lily”—you will always be loved, always remembered, and forever missed. Thank you for being you, and for the joy you brought into this world.

May your soul rest in peace, and may your memory forever be surrounded by love and light.

This moment also serves as a reminder to hold loved ones close, to cherish every day, and to check in on one another. And for anyone struggling, please remember you are not alone—help and support are always available.

A candlelight gathering will be held in your honor tomorrow, sweet Lily.
