HARWINTON, Conn. — The Harwinton community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Olivia Grace Videtto, age 5, who passed away following a tragic accident on Monday, June 1, 2026, in a place she loved deeply—playing outside beneath a canopy of trees. Her passing has left family, friends, classmates, and neighbors in profound sorrow.

Born on July 3, 2020, in Hartford, Olivia was the beloved daughter of Tyler and Lauren (Poudin) Videtto. She is being remembered as a joyful, loving, and bright child whose presence brought happiness wherever she went. Her family describes her as inquisitive, thoughtful, and deeply affectionate, with a remarkable ability to connect with everyone she met.

Olivia was a kindergartener at Harwinton Consolidated School and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Hartford. She was known for her curiosity and love of conversation, often greeting others warmly and sharing stories, compliments, and observations about her day. She found wonder in the smallest details of life, seeing joy in moments many might overlook.

Her interests reflected her vibrant personality. Olivia adored the colors pink and purple, loved horses, and had a fascination with dinosaurs that earned her the playful title of a “tiny paleontologist” among loved ones. Teachers, family members, and friends remember her as a child who brightened every room she entered and made everyday life more meaningful.

She is survived by her parents, her beloved sister Georgia “Georgie” Videtto, and her grandparents Don and Emily Poudin, and John and Maryann Videtto, along with uncles Travis Poudin and Warren Videtto, and a wide circle of extended family and community members who cherished her deeply.

Visitation will be held at Montano-Shea Funeral Home in Winsted, followed by funeral services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Hartford.

Though her life was tragically short, Olivia’s love, light, and joyful spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
